Technology Team

Jim Blodgett
Director of Technology

In August of 2012, I became the Director of Technology for the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District. With the help of a talented and hardworking staff, I oversee all of the technology for the district, as well as contribute to the district’s executive and leadership teams. I am excited about helping the district move forward with its plan to improve productivity, efficiency and student achievement through the use modern technologies. I am married and have a son. Several years ago we were adopted by two rag doll mix cats, who help us keep our priorities in line with their desires. When I am not not working, I enjoy being outdoors, hiking, biking, skiing and snowshoeing with my family. You can find my blog at and I am often on Twitter @MCPTechDir

Tugba Madaus
Asst. to Director of Technology

Hello, I grew up in IL and attended Libertyville High School.  I have a Bachelor of Science in Operations Management Information Systems (OMIS) and Minor in Psychology from Northern Illinois University.  I have worked in Supply Chain for many years with most of my career as a Sr Pricing Analyst with Nutrien in Northbrook, IL.  We relocated to Middleton in 2010, which has been a blessing in disguise.  I have enjoyed being a Stay Home Mom and working at American Girl seasonally for several years.

My hobbies include: hiking, camping, photography, traveling, bicycling, reading, and cooking.  I volunteer at Blackhawk Church Kids Nursery.  I am a busy Mom to 2 kids, 2 dogs, and a cat; which are my world.

My goal is to provide excellent I.T. purchasing support to staff and students within our community.

Korey Kopp
Technology Project Analyst

I joined the district in May 2019. I grew up in Platteville, WI and have been calling Middleton home since I graduated from college. I have a tripawd cat named Juniper who is filled with sunshine and loves to play and snuggle. I am a long time vegetarian (reluctantly, recently turned pescatarian). I enjoy hiking, kayaking, photography and connecting with nature. Gardening is another hobby and I am slowly turning my yard into a “no mow” space that is pollinator and creature friendly. My technology background ranges from analytical roles to development. I am happy to be working for the schools and students in the community where I live.

I have been with the district for 16 years.  I am primary tech support for both Middleton High School and Clark Street Community School.  I am the “utility player” of the department. I support Macs and iOS devices, and provide backup support wherever else I am needed.  I grew up in the Milwaukee area and moved to the Madison area in 2003. In my spare time I love to spend time with my wife and two tween daughters.  I also love to read and am an aspiring screenwriter.  My favorite things about the district are the diverse range of personalities and the fact that no two days are ever the same.
